What to Do After Buying Stocks? (4 Key Actionsđź’°) #stockmarket

We now know how to buy a stock and also how to manage a stock with minimal risks, but what is the point of buying stocks, and what should we do next? What is the usage, and what should you do when the money is invested? Should you wait or check the graphs daily? Many things come to mind after buying stocks.

Here are the 4 things to do after buying stocks:

  1. Follow up with company’s quarterly financial report

    • Ensure business are maintaining their strong business fundamentals

    • Keep yourself updated with business movement

    • On the company’s website, keep track of the company’s next report record for future references.

  1. Do Nothing

    • Too much unbeneficial information is just pure market noise; it might affect your opinion and decision-making. So don’t give a F*** about other people’s opinions and decisions.

    • Don’t get too excited about the future outcomes; just live your life as it should be. This will avoid market noise.

    • After buying the stock, mark the date for next earnings report and live calmly

    • You’ve already done your homework with pure company research and then invested so just focus on business moments

  1. Expect Market Volatility

    • Don’t panic with short-term moments, but look at long-term properties. Sometimes it is possible that stock you bought might increase 10% one day and decrease 15% the next. Don’t panic

    • A strong and healthy company will appreciate its value over the long term. Example: Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc.

    • Just a basic hack for being calm: Buy the stock, shut it off for several months (till the quarterly report), and go to sleep.

  1. Apply 3R Formula

    • 3R: Research Read, and Repeat, as investing is a long journey, there is no way we can be successful if we stay in what we have learned so far

    • Improve the knowledge and skills by doing more research, reading more books, and repeating the process.

Warren Buffett is a great example of the 3R. He usually wasn’t involved in tech companies, but today he is the largest shareholder in the Apple Company.

The world is rapidly changing, so we have to improve our strategies and mindset in investing as well.
